My little boy is 3 months old! He didn't have a Dr. appointment this month, and because I am back at work I can't go to breastfeeding clinic to weigh him, so I called the doctors office and asked if I could come after work to weigh him on their scale. (It is down in the basement and I know how to do it because I have gone to BF clinic so many times). They let me! He weighs 13lbs and 2oz.
Favorites:sucking on his fingers, smiling at anyone who smiles at him (when he is in a good mood), playing with hanging toys above his head, bath time and DROOLING:)
Sleeping: He has been regularly sleeping at night from 9pm- 3 or 4am and then until 6:30am. He is starting to get a bit more regular with his naps, but often they are still random and are always in the swing.
Colic: I have heard that "colic" is just that the doctors don't know what is wrong with a baby. Although that might be true, I think that it has something to do with the baby's digestive system. Take Jay for example: While he was one month old, he was only pooping every day and a half, and he was always gassy and fussy. Then we started putting gas drops in every formula bottle we made. I would guess he gets between 4-6 oz. of formula per day- more on days I am gone a lot, less on the weekends when I am around. I think it has helped and he is up to once or twice a day pooing and quite a bit more happy. He now has happy times where he lays and plays on the floor for 30 min. at a time! BUT...what else can you do for a babies digestive system besides gas drops?
Travel: He does good in his car seat sometimes: like in the mornings, or when he falls alseep. He still screams the entire way to our destination other times.
We are flying to my brothers wedding in Wisconsin this week, and I have already lost sleep planning and anticipating how taking our baby on a plane will be.
Friends: Jay has lots of adult friends. He hasn't really met any other kids his age yet. Linda babysat Jay once a week after family left and it was awesome. He peed all over her shirt the first time she held him...which must mean he likes her.
Mandi has also babysat him. We went to a volleyball game this week. She is pregnant and 18 weeks along!
Grandpa and grandma came over on Saturday.

I love all the pictures!!!
His face is so darn cute. And FAT! Can't wait to squeeze those chubby cheeks. :)
My favorite pictures are the grandparent pictures. He looks freaked out with grandma and so giggly with grandpa.
My kids never sucked their fingers, although I think that it's so great that he does. Who needs a paci when you have a hand.
He's so cute!
Can't wait to see him.
