The Skatepark

The boys have been waiting for the skatepark in town to re-open so they could hang out there on John's day off. I knew they both wore helmets, but I wasn't really sure what they did there. Andy brought the power wheels dirtbike, and Jay brought his bike.

In case you haven't seen it, here is a nice picture of what it looks like:

September already...

Football season has started!!! I found this beauty on clearance the day of the last pre-season game. The kids and John each got a peice (then the floor got properly swept), I pulled the top pieces of for future use (they are just plastic) and then we threw the rest away, but it was still a highlight for everyone.

We have had a few campfires the past few weeks. This one was Labor Day night and we made pizza pies with pie irons on the fire for supper. Then smores:)

Jay convinced himself he needed a band-aid after he hurt his upper lip. Before I could even notice anything he showed up outside like this.

Jay had his first soccer game this week. I didn't get many pictures on the field (there are more
chances for that). He loves that he is not team Yellow this year, and he scored 5 goals in his first game!! Next week he is going to work on passing more:)

We cleaned a lot in the basement last weekend and the boys found some of John's legos. John and jay started building the Millenium Falcon from Star Wars. Jay still hasn't taken to the language of Star Wars, but he thinks it is cool.

My friend gave us a hulk mask with a voice box, and Jay thought it was hilarious.

Andy says to a pesky fly "shoo fly, don't bother me" and Jay sings songs.

JT and Camille came over for Labor Day (with their parents) and they kids had a little parade for us (I think they really just wanted to throw candy) and enjoyed popsicles on the swing.

Check out how tall the marigolds are! We put Andy in the back for measuring purposes.
