I'm not normally one to plug a product on my blog (unless I am getting it for free:)...but here are a few of my favorite things. (Sorry the pictures are bad, Photoshop isn't cooperating this week.)
I bought a 2 cans of Campbell's select Harvest soup this past week (mostly as backup lunches in case I don't have time to pack one). Tonight I tried one to see how it was, and I really enjoyed it. I tried the "light" version of Southwestern Style vegetable. I thought it might be too spicy, but it was perfect. I added a few leftover veggies to thicken it up a bit, but it was fine without it. I didn't particularly care for the after-taste...but I usually finish with dessert anyway:)
By the way, there were coupons for Campbell's Select Harvest soup in the August 17 and September 14 Smart Source coupon inserts. The coupons included $0.50 off 2 and $1.00 off 4 cans.

Also, I am enjoying Pillsbury Thin Pizza Crust. I joined a program to "spread the word about new products"(=Get free coupons:))...but I LOVED this product.
The crust came easily out of the container, covered a lot of space, and was a delicious thin crust. In all, to make and cook the pizza it took under 20 min. (I think it took the longest spreading out the peperoni's because they were frozen!)
You can make better looking pizzas like this cheeseburger one too:

And...I always use my favorite sauce: Prego "meat sauce". I have to WAIT for a good sale, but it is the only pasta sauce I will use.

This weekend we went to a wedding in Denver. It was a lot of fun. Here are some pictures. I hope to add another picture later.

My New Deals Blog

Hi all.
Since my recent hobby/addiction involves getting awesome deals, I started another blog devoted to that.

I will still post to this blog at least once a week.

Some fun finds:)

Today I went to 2 garage sales on my way to get a free recyclable bag (for being one of the first 150 customers), and a can of olives for my pasta salad.
I found these things that I am super excited about.
First, a super-cute bag (for 1.00) that holds EVERYTHING. Coupon organizers, paper adds, my purse, my water bottle, keys...I even fit my gift for the baby shower I was going to in it:)

(also include are my .05 folders, my .40 corn on the cob holders)

Second, I found a Duck Hunt (for Nintendo) gun (and the game along with about 15 other games and some more controllers) for 5.00. And...IT WORKED! I felt like I was at my 6th grade birthday party all over again.

We caught the mouse!

So when i got to school this morning, I wondered if I smelled something funny, or if I was just imagining things. When I saw my Middle school "mouse patrol" kids come in, I asked them politely to check under my desk to see if there was a dead mouse in the trap. It took them quite a while to get under my desk...but then they started getting louder...and sure enough...there was a DEAD mouse in the mouse trap in my room. The Boys held it by the side of the trap and took it out (mouse and all) then held it up for everyone to see. They had it in the hallway to show others before I caught them and made them throw it away (and get it out of the room). It looked something like this.

actually there are 28 mice:) (27 computer mice, 1 real mouse;)
I noticed the effects of the mouse about a week ago, when I moved some candy in to my desk drawer to use for prizes. I didn't think much of it at first, but the next day when I put a little bag of Nutter Butter's in the drawer, the bag was torn into and a little creature had nibbled at a good many Nutter Butters. I threw out the bag, and immediately put most of my candy in Ziploc containers. I put a few in Ziploc bags because I didn't think they little guy would go for it.
I was wrong. The next day the Ziploc bag was torn open and the candy for prizes was scattered. I had a note for the janitor to put a mousetrap in my desk drawer, and a message in at the office. I hadn't seen the effects of the mouse for a few days....and I got lazy.
I opened my NEW bag of Nutter Butter's yesterday when my stomach was growling in-between classes. When I was done, I put it back in the Ziploc container and shoved it in the drawer.
WELL, today, I found the lid off, and a small hole nibbled in the bag. There were a few round Nutter Butters scattered around the drawer!!!!
GRRRRRR.
I have some Middle School boys on mouse patrol. They checked out where the Janitor put the traps, and are keeping an eye on them for me...maybe we can catch the little guy.

I always thought mice were cute. I love this poster of the mouse and the elephant (I have it above my desk). I enjoyed reading The Tale of Despereaux. But this new little mouse is getting on my nerves!
