Andy learns to count to 3
They told me that is what they focused on at preschool this week. I didn't think he could do that, but then I started trying it with him.

Andy 15 months Jay 3
Not a detailed post, but I have only been posting pictures lately and I want to remember this stuff too...
Andy says:
Mama
Dada
All Duuh (all done)
Moorrr (more)
nana (banana)
neee (cheese)
baba (bottle)
duu, duu, duu (duck, duck, duck (and then he just runs fast on goose)
buhh buhh (bubbles)
aaay (Jay)
Uhhk uhhk (truck)
Roar (anytime he sees a dinosaur, lion, bear, or sometimes puppies)
Eats everything, but really likes chicken and bananas (not together). He throws food when he is not excited about eating. He would eat a banana a day if he could and sometimes he does.
Loves his blankie, but we lost one so now he loves his hippo too. Sleeps 1 1/2 to 2 hours sometime after 11am. One nap per day.
Has cried most days when dropped of at daycare, but it is very normal for that age...and he does the same thing when I leave to go to the grocery store.
He loves giving and getting hugs way more than Jay ever did.
Jay says:
He really has great language skills and has great conversations with us. He also points to EVERY train and yells "TRAIN" until we acknowledge that we see it. It is so fun to hear him discover new things. Today we saw a "hot balloon" which I corrected to a "hot air balloon" and he talked about how Thomas the train saw one. Yesterday he took the paper towel roll along as a "telescope" which he learned from watching the one Daniel Tiger episode we have on his leap pad.
There are a few things that we have tried correcting and it isn't sticking, but when he says these words I still smile because I love that he is still a little kid and he says everything else so well.
Canola bars (granola bars)
Grils (girls)
golf horse (golf course)
strawbies (strawberries)
"Mom do you like beer?" "Is that drink for dults?"
"I'm getting big so now I like (certain foods)"
"I wanna watch a daddy video then a Jay video then a daddy video then a Jay video..." (usually talking about a football clip from NFL.com and a youtube clip of Thomas the Train.
Jay eats "very little" (which was yesterday's report from preschool). He has always been a super picky eater, but this week we have made him eat chicken, potatoes, carrots, chicken quesadillas and other foods that he would normally leave on his plate.
His favorite foods are anything with sugar, and crackers or cheese-its. He eats fruit very well too.
He is enjoying games lately. He has been at Amazing Athletes the last few weeks and has done awesome learning sports. I taught him "Red light, Green light" last night and it was a huge hit!
Maybe I'll get a chance to add more tomorrow night:)

A Few Videos from August so far...
I found this awesome list of things to do over the summer, and I realized Jay and I had done a lot of them. It inspired me to do a few more before I go back to work next week:
First, we hadn't done a science experiment...so I settled on Diet Coke and mentos.
Then of course there was the clean-up.
We're all pretty excited about the new Planes movie coming out:
Did you hear Andy say "crop hopper"?
And, something I'm excited about...but it is also going to make things interesting... Andy learned to say "more" :) He typically doesn't always need more of what he wants.

Andy's room is GREEN
We decided to paint Andy's room kind of a lime green because It would look awesome, and because the room I had when we were dating was that color and we both liked it.
The shade we went with isn't super bright, but it still looks great. It matches the theme I have from his nursery (Music nursery).
It actually looks more yellowish in the pictures, but once you are in the room it looks a lot more green.
We bought him a dresser....Yippee! I was getting sick of putting all his clothes in little baskets underneath the changing table. The black contrasts with the green wall very well. Some of the sayings I found on Pintrest and framed are looking great in the space.
We plan on getting him a big boy bed with a black headboard to match the colors of the room, but he isn't quite ready for that yet.
He also has a shelf on the bookshelf with a "Very Hungry Caterpillar" Theme, and he loves to pull off those toys and play with them.
Here is the link to his old "music nursery"
Here are some pictures of what we have so far...
What do you think?

The Last Few Weeks...
Have been so much fun.
I had a garage sale with my friend Kristie. It was a lot of work and I hauled 3 of John's truckloads over there, but I ended up with a few boxes to the ARC, one tote of things I decided to save, and $543. Not bad! I had the boys with me with the last few hours on Saturday. Andy was "not for sale" Jay started swimming lessons at the Pre L1 level. He was definitely one of the younger kids in the class, but he did great. He passed his first time through. Jay also started "Amazing Athletes" where he learns many different sports. He LOVED it and the first week they learned football which was right up his alley. Here are a few "phone pictures"...and Andy (who gets pretty bored sitting in the stroller for 30 min of swim lessons and 45 min of Amazing athletes). I try entertain him, but watching the kids is the most fun for him. He wishes he could be in the water and playing with the kids. Jay got his first real black eye. (Another phone shot) He was going to the bathroom at a friends and when he pulled down his pants he slipped on the rug and nailed his eye on the toilet. Poor guy (he doesn't really complain much about it and it is so cute when he tells the story of what happened). Andy learned how to open doors and it is pretty obvious that he knows he is not supposed to be in the bathroom. Other things: We have had grandparents here quite a bit so that I could get all the garage sale stuff done. I got a bunch of glow sticks really cheap at the end of the season clearance and we spent about $1.25 to have a glow stick party in one of our dark rooms for about an hour one night. The boys have enjoyed finger painting the few times I let them...and then take them right to the tub.
