We had an awesome time during family vacation in Idaho Springs, CO. We rented a cabin at VRBO (Vacation Rental By Owner) and it was a grand experience.

My brother had his awesome camera along, so he got some great pictures of us all.

They had a hot tub and the kids got to go swimming each night.

Jay did a good job on the way up, but traveled most of the way down on John's shoulders.

I forgot the Baby Bjorn, so we rigged up something to help me carry Andy. BTW, he had the biggest blowout I've ever seen when we were at tht top of the mountian.

Chad played his guitar for the kiddos and the danced like crazy!

The 4th

The 4th of July was very hot, but also very fun this year. Here is the best picture I could get of the boys. We went to a party at our neighbors house and ended up having tons of fun playing Volleyball and we had a small fire in our backyard to make smores.

Andy started smiling a little bit at 4 weeks, but now at 6 weeks you can usually get a good smile out of him during his happy times.

I say the part about the fire, because Jay got very curious about the (cool-temperature wise) firepit in the backyard and pressed his head against it the next morning:)

This week

Andy has been gassy, but has also smiled at me a few times. Here we are hanging out around the house. This is also how we get the mail (while Jay rides his "tractor" to the mailbox). John enjoys taking care of Andy- especially when he sleeps on his chest It has been fun but challenging with 2 kids at home. I still try to do things (especially around the house), and we have fun. This is what happens when Jay helps me cook muffins. He also rearanged all the pots and pans. When I told him to put them all back this is what happened:) He had to hold them in.

chores

Jay started his "chores" today. I finally finished creating his chore chart:) He did most of them (minus the "go potty") and enjoyed putting stickers on the chart.

Andy at 1 month

I got some good pictures of Andy this afternoon. He loves the swing, eats as often as possible (meaning he eats for 5-10 min and then falls asleep or chills for about 20-30 min and then is hungry again). Other times when I make him eat for longer he will sleep for longer (and takes about 2-  hour and a half to two hour naps per day). He has been doing better at night the last week. He goes to bed between 8-9, feed again at 10 or 11 and then sleeps till 2, then gets up again at 4:30 and 6:30 or 7. (So really if I go to bed late or John takes the 10 or 11 shift then I only have to get up twice!) He has smiled a few times, but not consistently. He has a few gas issues, but once he gets it out he is pretty chill (especially compared to Jay). My favorite thing is when he goes in the swing awake, and I don't hear a peep from him..and 15 min later he is still awake sucking on his hand and chilling. WoW!
