Ellie's 6th birthday: Rainbow Party
Ellie has loved drawing rainbows since she could first draw. This was a cute theme for her 6th birthday, and to put a creative spin on it, I found umbrellas in all the colors of the rainbow:)
For decorations we used a sign out front that I got for $4 at the ARC:
For Activities we had TONS to do.
Ellie's You Pick it Store was basically a carnival where you had to do things to earn tickets, and then you could buy things with your tickets that were rainbow or something Ellie likes.
Some of the activities included joining in the Dance party with blacklights in the basement, trying your hand at catch the ball in the cup, Getting your face painted, telling Ellie what you like about her, and more!
The cake was a labor of love for sure! Made by hand, and then used the extra colors to make rainbow tye-dye cupcakes too. She adored the cake.
For other food we had veggie and fruit rainbow charcuterie boards.
We also had a punch a color prize box, and the pinata she picked out. Kids who came to this party left with a purse full of trinkets and candy!

Her dress topped it off to make it the perfect rainbow party!

Family Time- April/May
The fun run at school was a good time. Andy won the 4th grade (130 students) and got 2nd place overall. He was recognized at the assembly and got a $25 gift card to Scheels!
Jay had his first Baseball game with the Comptetitive team Jr Riders. The first few games were VERY cold to watch!
We did a few typical Easter activities: Flashlight Easter Egg hunt (Jay got a ticket and got a basketball). Palm Sunday. Ellie Wrote about what Easter means to her.
Andy played Flag Football on the team John coached...The Jets (again)
Ellie got pretty creative sitting at all the games (although she mosly dissapeared to play with friends.
We went to Hibachi grill with friends:
They loved seeing cousins:
We spent our days surviving the end of the school year (Beach day and dress like an animal day), Going to D-bat for batting practice, and just being silly!
